this then has to be a christmas card - not finished yet, but i like it - plain and simple

location: workshop (had to remove tons and tons of things and dirt, tokk about 3+ hours)

I like it too! It just has that whimsical feel. I have been in this situation myself having quit a job I truly hated and feeling great about it. Then you wake up the next morning and say to yourself what was I thinking?

What a wonderful image - I love the table leg propped up.
If I could humbly offer an opinion, lose the wing (it's unreal), keep the feathers on the floor (they subtly represent a semblance of loss).
There are angels among us, but they don't carry mythological lugguge.
Your model and her alcohol indulgence are perfect enough for an "Oh, shit" and a "what do I do and where do I go now." I'm of an age to appreciate this feeling many times in my past and I'm confident many other viewers will identify.
